MiddleGround in practice

Plan a trip together, with a little help from your AI assistants

Anna is looking for a quiet place to stay. David has a concert in mind. Noor wants the journey to be easy. Each turns to their own AI assistant for help. As they share suggestions, preferences and bookings through MiddleGround, one trip begins to take shape.

Anna, David and Noor plan a trip around a table covered with maps, photos, tickets, notebooks and laptops.

02 · A shared picture

One trip, one shared context

Anna asks her assistant to compare two apartments and saves the options to the trip. Later, David asks his own assistant where they could eat before the concert. With access to the shared trip in MiddleGround, it can work with the places Anna has already found instead of starting from an empty conversation.

The useful context grows out of their contributions: a budget, a saved address, an idea worth keeping, a booking that settles a decision. Each connected assistant can draw on what the group has shared and help add the next piece. Nobody has to write a complete travel brief before they can begin.

The same friends contribute information to a shared tablet, with purple lines connecting photos, tickets, a map and their calendar.
02 · Each conversation adds to the shared plan.

03 · In practice

How it works in practice.

  1. Start with what matters to each person

Anna talks through neighbourhoods with her assistant. David shares a concert link. Noor adds their travel dates and budget. Suggestions worth keeping are saved to the shared trip.

Their separate starting points become something the others and their connected assistants can build on, whenever they return to planning.

  2. Let the assistant make the connections

With the apartment options, concert venue and travel dates together, an assistant can help compare the choices: which location fits their plans, what still needs checking and which trade-offs matter to the group.

The friends make the choice. They can then ask their assistant to record it in MiddleGround, keeping the selected apartment distinct from the alternatives they considered.

  3. Build on what someone else has already done

Noor picks up the planning the next evening. Her assistant can use the chosen apartment and the concert time to help draft a Friday itinerary. She adds the airport transfer booking and asks it to keep the details with the journey.

The next conversation starts with a richer picture. Useful suggestions and confirmed arrangements stay available beyond the chat in which they first appeared.

  4. Take that shared understanding with you

In Lisbon, David asks his assistant what they have planned for Friday and which saved ideas could fit into a free afternoon. It can work from the trip they have built together, including their bookings and preferences.

When plans change, they can ask an assistant to update the shared trip. Afterwards, their notes, photos and favourite places can remain part of the same story.

Working together

Three travellers, their own assistants, one evolving plan

Anna, David and Noor are planning a few days in Lisbon. They do not have to sit down at the same time or use the same AI assistant. Each connects their assistant to the shared trip in MiddleGround, with access to the information they are planning together.

Anna · Accommodation

Anna asks her assistant for help weighing two apartments against the group’s budget and preferences, then saves the options and her notes to the trip.

David · Activity

David brings a Friday concert into the plan. His assistant helps him consider it alongside the accommodation options Anna has shared.

Noor · Transport

Noor asks her assistant to help prepare the journey using the shared dates and chosen stay. Once she books the airport train, she adds the confirmation to the same trip.

By the time they are ready to leave, the trip contains more than a list of bookings. It holds the wishes, alternatives and decisions that led to them. That shared source has taken shape through their planning. Before departure, an assistant can gather the confirmed arrangements into a travel brief with a day-by-day outline, booking details and open questions. A reusable template can present it as a PDF for the group, while the underlying information stays in MiddleGround for the next update.

The three friends review a shared plan. Destination, accommodation, transport and activity information is grouped around the tablet with subtle purple connections.

From context to action

What could you ask or do next?

Conceptual examples of working with a connected AI assistant using the information you share in MiddleGround.

  • What is planned for Friday?
  • Compare these apartments with our budget and the places we want to visit.
  • Save this booking with our journey and note the arrival time.
  • Suggest a relaxed afternoon using the ideas we have saved.
  • Draft a day plan around our apartment and the concert.
  • Prepare a travel brief from our bookings and decisions using our usual template.
  • We have chosen this apartment. Update the trip and keep the other options for reference.

The result

A better starting point for every conversation

The more the friends contribute, the more useful their assistants can be: helping compare options, prepare the next day or update a decision in context. MiddleGround keeps the sources, decisions and saved plans connected. Each assistant can use that shared foundation to prepare a summary, revise an itinerary or update the travel brief as the group contributes more.
