MiddleGround in practice

Run the business. Let your AI assistant keep up with the paperwork.

At a customer visit, you describe the job to your AI assistant. It turns the conversation into project notes, a draft scope and next steps. As the work continues, it helps keep the administration in MiddleGround connected to the job.

A self-employed contractor searches through invoices and folders at a crowded desk, surrounded by receipts, envelopes, material samples and boxes.
01 · The work grows. So does the paperwork.

An assistant that can work with your business context

A customer calls about a renovation. You ask your connected assistant to prepare a project from the enquiry and record the requirements in MiddleGround. Later, you give it a supplier invoice and ask it to extract the useful details and connect the purchase to that job.

The assistant does the sorting, drafting and updating you would otherwise do after work. MiddleGround stores the customers, projects, documents and their relationships, giving the next conversation a place to start and the next report a source to draw from.

The same contractor works at a cleared desk. Purple paths connect organized folders, document trays, project photographs and material samples to his laptop.
02 · Every document belongs to the work behind it.

03 · In practice

How it works in practice.

  1. Prepare the job while you are there

Talk through the customer’s wishes with your assistant. Ask it to record the requirements, draft the scope and create a list of questions to resolve in the same project structure.

  2. Hand over the daily administration

Share a receipt, a note about materials or the hours you worked. Ask the assistant to extract the relevant details, update the project and keep the original document with the record.

  3. Turn the records into something useful

Ask for a project cost summary, an extract of hours or a draft progress report for the customer. The assistant brings together the relevant records and saves its output with the job, ready for your review.

  4. Close the period with a prepared overview

Have the assistant gather the saved invoices, expenses and hours into a period summary, highlight missing information and suggest follow-up actions. A reusable layout can turn the prepared report into a consistently styled PDF.

The report stays with its supporting information in MiddleGround. Formal bookkeeping and tax filing can remain separate processes.

From context to action

What could you ask or do next?

Conceptual examples of working with a connected AI assistant using the information you share in MiddleGround.

  • Prepare a project from these customer notes and list what we still need to ask.
  • Extract the details from this invoice and connect it to the job.
  • Add today’s hours and update the outstanding work.
  • Draft a customer progress report using our usual template.
  • Summarize this period’s records and flag missing documents.

The result

Less administration waiting at the end of the day

Through a connected AI assistant that supports voice, you can prepare projects, update information and request summaries from your phone on site. The assistant handles the record-keeping as part of the conversation. MiddleGround keeps the source documents, customer and project structure, and resulting reports together, so you can review the work and build on it later.

The contractor speaks into his phone at a renovation site. Purple lines connect the phone to a translucent window showing his organized office documents and materials.
